soccer_ballFrom . second red card for Philly this season , to a game being canceled. to more of the same old Atlanta round happenings, to new player signings, to a new, revised schedule, to the fire of a manager it has been a looney week in WPS, to say the least Buckeye State yeah, and another squad in the conference folded.

Let me just get to this week heaps and standings. I promise to keep it short.

First up, the Bean Town Breakers and sky blue FC of New Jersey, battled to a scoreless draw after many chance and many big saves from both teams. sky blue FC now pedestal in 4th place with XI points, while the breaker sit at 6th place with 7 points.

The Windy City Red star earned a hard fought win, just their 2nd of the season after Kosovare Asslani scored her first goal of the season Before this match, the Red Stars were 1-4-1, so head manager Emma Hayes was released of her duties. Red Stars General Manager, Marcia McDermott. coached her squad to a win against the conference leaders, FC gold Pride . Windy City also hired former La colloidal suspension g and current head manager of the Pali blues as the technical advisor His first job: to find a new coach; and he did with the help of McDermott. The declaration will be made soon.

The last game played on FSC, was between the Washington Freedom and the City of Brotherly Love Independence.  Rebekah Moros scored the first goal for the freedom Abby Wambach added a goal, after Sonia Bompastor was tackled inside the penatly box for a PK. Caroline Seger was sent off the lucifer after turn around to push Sarah Huffman out of her way to get the ball Lianne Sanderson came into the lucifer to become the first participant to mark a end for a team with 10 women on the pitch, but it was not enough for a point, or 3.

There are always tetrad games I go over every week but this is where the protein folding of a squad cum inch A couple days after WPS announced that the St. Joe Louis Athletica would be run by the league because there was no more money in the depository financial institution to keep the squad running, the league announced that the squad would crimp This cause a game to be canceled. The game between the round and Athletica. Well, that didn’t happen because the squad folded the day the Athletica would have departed for capital of Georgia The round played against the Tampa embayment Hellenic of the W-League and almost doomed that game. It wasn’t for a late equalizer from Rebecca Nolin. This happened to be the first goal scored at the capital of Georgia Beat’s new stadium, and by a local participant Nolin played at Kennesaw State, the school that share the stadium with the Beat.

All of the Atletica participant have become free agent as of today hope Solo, Tina Ellertson, and top scorer Eniola Aluko are headed to capital of Georgia As a squad that is struggling in any way that is possible for a squad to struggle, these troika participant will bring a plenty of experience, confidence, and leadership to a young team. The round released,  Marisha Schumacher Hodge and Lauren Sesselman, and added Tobin heath to the season-ending hurt list to minimal brain dysfunction Solo, Ellertson, and Aluko.

FC gold Pride added Shannon Boxx, but they too have to drib a participant from their roll The declaration is yet to be made.

Meanwhile, sky blue FC will use their option of a 6th international player in Patrizia Panico. She will be the first Italian in the league.

That’s two week of WPS in a nutshell. I strongly recommend checking out The equaliser at equalizersoccer.com for all the details.

Since the new schedule is not released yet, cipher is really sure of who will play next week The Athletica were supposed the play the Boston Breakers, but that game is off the schedule.  I assume the breaker will have a bye hebdomad For now the agenda is: freedom at FC gold Pride at 7pm PT, sky blue FC at Philadelphia at 6pm ET, and the capital of Georgia Beat at Chicago on FSC at 5pm CT.
