Heidi FryWow, it has been a long time since my last web log entry! Sorry about that.

Since the World Duathlon title in September, I decided to railroad train smarter and race a little less. There is snow where I live so I toughed it out and had a great wintertime of run outside when I could and riding my motorcycle on my indoor trainer. I started 2010 with the capital of Texas ½ endurance contest on valentine 24-hour interval It was my first competitive half and boy was it a blast What made the day was that a some of my family that life in Texas race there as well including my 72 year old uncle! I think I was more excited to watch him finishing than I was for my own race.

After Austin, I went back to training and decided my next race would be the MT Women’s Run, which was today. I had never run a five land stat mi course before but I figure it is just like a 10k…just a land mile shorter right? I got up early this morning and my manager and I made the two hr trek to Billings VII G eighter century other women joined me at the start line today. I stood there and closed my eyes and envisioned my five year old son wearing his shirt that reads, “My mum is fast”. I could do this. The gun went off and I ran quite a bit of the race, with another lady, behind a pace machine That was a first to me and I won’t lie, I felt pretty cool! I ended up second today but I can honestly say that I busted my butt end trying to span the spread to first.

All that substance when it cum to racing is gift it your all, believing that you can and being patient with your training and knowing that next time, I will be faster and maybe next time there won’t be a spread to bridge However, for now, I am perfectly content with two shaver who think that I am a winner and love to wear shirt that vaporing about how “fast” I am. Happy Mothers Day to me and the rest of you out there who wear an invisible ness and regulation your children’s world.
