Summer is nigh which means its time to get the skimpy clothes out, head to the beach and enjoy the sunshine; that's if this year's British summer won't be a wash-out. As a result Selfridges has launched a new type of Bikini aimed at the top end of the market. Dubbed the bling bikini because it features 5,000 hand-embroidered Swarovski crystals in tones of ruby, sapphire, emerald and gold, it costs a staggering £2,000 and is designed by fashion label Pistol Panties.
With the recession biting hard one would think this was a bad idea however Selfridges has announced there is high demand and has already set up a waiting list for the bikini. Look out for it on a WAG in the near future.
